As an extruder of our own raw material from virgin and re-processed polyethylene, we manufacture films in varying thicknesses and colors—and we also excel in manufacturing bags and films with special features and characteristics.
A client from a food product company approached us with a challenge: they needed their product to maintain a bright white color, while also being protected from UV light coming through the packaging. To address these issues, Rutan developed a liner with a blue tint, which enhanced the white color of the product while simultaneously blocking UV light. All of this was achieved with materials conforming to FDA regulations to provide bags suitable for contact with food and pharmaceutical products. Rutan successfully exceeded all of our client’s requirements.
